Following the Chinese earthquake of 12th May 2008, amateur radio operators played a role in the immediate rescue attempts. This vlog entry discusses some of what they did, some criticisms of the part amateur radio can play in disaster relief, and looks back at the work carried out in the Andaman Islands following the tsunami of 26th December 2004.
